Program notes:
AUGENBLICK is a German term formed by two words, Augen meaning “eyes” and Blick meaning “look”. Together they mean “moment”, “instant”.
The concept of the work concentrates on how to reflect the moment in time. Therefore, the work is constructed of many small instants that follow one another in time forming a unit, such as, for example, the tremolo of two harmonics of the piccolo that result in the same pitch, the noise of keys or the flow of electronics that flows like a continuous stream of impulses. It is a simile to how cinema originated, with the reproduction of many frames in a row, we recreate the appearance of movement, but it is still an illusion.
A movement that does not cease, that flows as if it were a flowing river of textures and sonorities, that will take us to be able during the listening to it, to stop in the instants that we want before continuing in our trip.
